FAQ

Every day, but only with a guided tour, not alone. We offer guided tours seven days a week and every hour, but always in different languages. Our guided tours are very popular and often quickly sold out. Therefore we recommend to buy your tickets on this website before you visit us.

About 45 minutes. The guided tours for children last 30 minutes.

20 people max., tour leaders/teachers accompanying the group included.

You can visit the Fragrance Museum as a single visitor or as a private group. We offer general public tours from Monday to Friday, but on weekends and Thursdays at 5 p.m. we offer just historical costumed guided tours.

The entrance into the Museum, the guided tour in the language you choose and a small perfumed present per person.

The available appointments for the respective day are showed on our calender. Please select another day if the tour you want is not displayed and is therefore already sold out.

The last tour begins one hour before closing time (6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 4 p.m. Sunday).

Please show your tickets in printed form or on your smartphone/tablet on the day of the tour.

Yes, but only for private tours. Please send us your desired date (day, time, language of the tour) and the following information to the email address museum@farina.org: name, last name, address/company address, telephone number, email address. We will book the desired appointment for you and send you the invoice by email.

The amount must be paid promptly, at least one week before the booked appointment. Cash payment on site is only permitted in urgent emergencies, as we usually only make a binding reservation for the appointment when we receive the payment soon. If the tour has not been paid till then, the date reserved for you will be released again and your tour cancelled.

No, the maximum number of people is 20 people per group. If your group is more than 20 people, you must divide it into several smaller groups and book additional tours, which can only take place one after the other, not at the same time.

Unfortunately not. The Fragrance Museum is located in a historic building with many glass display cases, narrow hallways and several staircases. In the event of a fire/earthquake, the museum must be evacuated quickly and safely via the escape routes. This is only possible if the group adheres to the upper limit of 20 people. Additionally, the tour is more enjoyable for guests when the space is not too “crowded.”

Book 2x 10 tickets via our system, i.e. in two separate transactions. Please note, however, that other guests may have booked at the same time and the 10 places are no longer available. You might find it more convenient and cheaper if you book a private tour.

We only accept reservations by telephone for a maximum of 2 people. For larger groups, please send us an email with your desired date to museum@farina.org or come by in person and book the appointment at the museum box office. You can pay there in cash or by debit and credit card.

Unfortunately not. The reservation is only binding after payment for the desired tour.

If you have booked via this website, you will receive a booking confirmation by email with a reservation number. If you have not received this email (and it is not in your spam folder), please contact us as soon as possible to check whether there may be a problem with the online payment. You are only registered once you have received the confirmation and the tickets.

If you would like to take your dog with you, you will need to book a private tour. We will then select a museum guide for you who agrees to take your dog with you. Unfortunately, we can not accept dogs on public tours because we do not know whether the other guests on the tour are allergic to dog fur or perhaps even afraid of dogs.

The Fragrance Museum is located in a historic building with many glass display cases, narrow hallways and several staircases. In the event of a fire/earthquake, the museum must be evacuated quickly and safely via the escape routes. This is only possible if there are no bulky and hanging objects in the way. On the left to the museum ticket office, we offer a cloakroom with free lockers where you can store and lock bags/backpacks. Important medications or valuables can of course be carried in your hand or in a small money belt.

For data protection reasons, no photos can be taken in the museum. However, you can visualize photos of the museum at any time under the “Impressions” section.

Please send press inquiries asap to presse@farina1709.com. We will get back to you.

Yes, 50% off the entry price, but the discount does not apply to historical costume tours. When you buy the original Eau de Cologne you get a 10% discount.

No. The offer is only aimed at municipal museums, not private ones.

Please send us an email to museum@farina.org and we will see if we can organize the tour. Please understand that we will charge for any expenses and resulting additional costs for staff (80€ on top).

Unfortunately not. The whispering disturbs the museum guide and the other guests. Do you need a tour in a language we don’t offer? Then please book a private tour and write to us about your request at museum@farina.org. However, you must provide the interpreter yourself.

We recommend our tours for children aged 5 and over.

Unfortunately not.

Please arrive (with your group) at least 10 minutes before the booked time.

If you/your group are not on the first floor of the Fragrance Museum on time for the start of the event, this time will be deducted from the duration of the tour (so that subsequent groups can start on time).
